Terms of use
These terms cover the Loqma website and app, and what happens when you reserve a bag.
Last updated 13 September 2026.
Who you are contracting with
Loqma is a marketplace. Shops list food they have left at the end of the day, and you reserve it. When you reserve a bag, the sale is between you and that shop. Loqma is not the seller and does not own the food.
Loqma charges the shop a monthly fee to be on the platform. It takes no share of what you pay the shop, and adds nothing to the price you pay.
Pending before launch: the registration details of the Lebanese entity that operates Loqma are still being confirmed and will be published in this section.
Reserving a bag
You reserve in the Loqma app or on a reservation link. A reservation holds a specific quantity of a specific bag at a specific shop for a stated collection window.
- Reserve only what you intend to collect. Shops prepare the food after you reserve.
- Collect inside the window shown on your order. Outside it, the shop is not obliged to hold the bag.
- Bring your order reference or show your order screen at the counter.
- You can cancel in the app before you collect. Cancelling late can add a strike.
- If nobody confirms the handover, the order closes as collected on its own and nothing is recorded against you.
- A shop can report that a bag was never handed over. We send you that report and you have 24 hours to answer it. If you answer that you collected it, no strike is added and the order stays collected. If you do not answer, the report stands: the order is recorded as not collected and one strike is added. Enough strikes suspend your account.
Price, currency and cash
Prices are set and charged in US dollars. You pay the shop directly, in cash, when you collect. There is nothing to pay online, and Loqma never receives, holds or forwards your money.
Any Lebanese pound figure shown is an indicative conversion at a rate Loqma sets administratively. The rate that applies to an order is the one recorded on that order at the moment you reserve, and it does not change afterwards. If you settle in Lebanese pounds, that is an arrangement between you and the shop at that recorded rate.
Surprise contents and allergens
A bag is a surprise. Contents change daily, depend on what is left, and cannot be chosen. Pictures and descriptions are illustrative.
Because the contents vary, allergens cannot be guaranteed. A bag may contain, or have been in contact with, gluten, dairy, tree nuts, peanut, egg, sesame, soy, fish or shellfish. If you have an allergy, ask the shop before you collect. The shop is responsible for the food it sells, including labelling and food safety.
Ratings and conduct
After you collect, you can rate the order and leave a short comment. Do not post anything abusive, misleading or that identifies another person. Loqma can remove a comment that breaks this, and will keep the rating itself unless the rating is also removed.
Your account
- You sign in with your Google or Apple account. Where phone sign-in is offered, a one-time code is sent to your number on WhatsApp or by SMS instead. Keep access to whichever you used, because it is how you get back to your orders.
- One account per phone number.
- Do not use the service to resell food commercially, to scrape listings, or to place reservations you do not intend to collect.
Availability of the service
There is no guarantee that any shop lists a bag on any given day, and no guarantee that the service is continuously available. Power and connectivity in Lebanon interrupt it. Current service state is published on the Loqma status page.
Language and governing law
These terms are published in Arabic and in English. For consumers in Lebanon the Arabic version governs; the English version is provided for convenience. Lebanese law applies.
Changes and contact
Changes to these terms are published on this page with a new date at the top, and material changes are announced in the app before they take effect.
